Moblogging – here’s how it can work for assessment!

Moblogging, or mobile blogging, is an actviity that requires you to be ‘on the move’ (i.e. mobile) and that you can access the Web whilst on the move. You may also need a mobile phone and a blog set up on the Web. As for its use as a workplace assessment enabling tool, I’ll let Marg Bell tell you about the rest!

Author of CogDogBlog, Alan levine is hitting the ACT as part of this national speaking tour in October. You might recall Nancy White toured last October, with great success!

Alan’s keeping an “Aussie” blog for his tour, CogDogRoo.

Two topics Alan will discuss:

(i) “Being there” – being actively present in your online courses and approaching educational technologies with a sense of ‘wonder’, and

(ii) Trying out those Web 2.0 gems – just something small to get you started – Flickr, Delicious, YouTube, whatever!

Learnscope: want to improve your online facilitation via a virtual workshop?

I have referred to Learning Times before and the work by Jonathan Finkelstein, well, I’m doing so again!

Two points. Firstly, Jonathan, in his most recent RealTime Minute, used the analogy of the dashboard in your car to discuss aspects of “driving” your online sessions. Take a look here, on Jonathan’s blog.

Secondly, Jonathan is running two virtual workshops (via Learning Times) on online facilitation. So, if you have some Learnscope money available, you might like to sign up to one of Jonathan’s workshops in July or August!
